This Privacy Policy describes how hwebview.com ("we," "our," or "the Company") collects, processes, retains, and protects personal information provided by visitors and registered subscribers of our web development video library platform. By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described herein. This document constitutes a binding legal agreement between you and hwebview.com governing the treatment of your personal data.

1 Information We Collect

hwebview.com collects information in three primary categories depending on how you interact with our platform. The scope of data collection is limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate the service and improve the user experience. We do not engage in speculative data collection or retain information beyond the purposes stated in this Policy.

1.1 — Account & Registration Data
When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, chosen username, and encrypted password hash. If you update your profile, additional optional data such as a display photo, professional title, or website URL may be stored. This information identifies you as a registered user and enables access to subscription features.
1.2 — Usage & Behavioral Data
We automatically collect technical data when you use our platform, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, videos played, playback duration, completion rates, and timestamps of activity. This data is collected through server logs and first-party analytics tools and is used in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
1.3 — Payment & Billing Information
Subscription payments are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processor. hwebview.com does not store full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details on our servers. We retain only transaction identifiers, the last four digits of your card, billing address, and subscription status records necessary for account management and legal compliance.
1.4 — Communications Data
If you contact our support team, participate in surveys, or respond to promotional emails, we retain the content of those communications along with metadata such as submission time and the channel used. This record helps us resolve disputes and improve service quality over time.

2 How We Use Your Information

The personal information we hold is used exclusively for the following purposes, each of which serves a legitimate business interest or is required for the performance of our contractual obligations to you:

  • Authenticating your identity and maintaining secure session access to your account and subscription tier
  • Processing subscription payments, issuing receipts, and managing billing cycles and renewal notifications
  • Delivering the video library service, tracking viewing progress, and enabling personalized content recommendations
  • Sending transactional emails such as account creation confirmations, password resets, and billing alerts
  • Sending optional marketing communications about new video releases, platform features, and promotions — only where you have affirmatively opted in

4 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5 Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:

  • Active account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a period of 90 days following account closure, after which it is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized
  • Payment transaction records are retained for seven (7) years in compliance with US tax and financial reporting regulations
  • Server logs containing IP addresses and session identifiers are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle
  • Support communications are retained for three (3) years from the date of the final exchange
  • Data retained for legal compliance purposes is held for the minimum period required by the applicable statute and then securely destroyed

You may request early deletion of your account data at any time, subject to the exceptions noted in Section 6 below. Deletion requests are processed within 30 calendar days of verification of your identity.

6 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may hold a combination of the following rights with respect to your personal data. US residents in states with applicable privacy legislation (including California under CCPA/CPRA) and individuals located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (under GDPR) have particularly robust protections.

Right to Access
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including the sources from which it was collected and the purposes for which it is used.
Right to Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. You may also update most account information directly through your account settings.
Right to Deletion
Request permanent deletion of your personal data, subject to exceptions where retention is legally required or necessary to complete a transaction you initiated.
Right to Portability
Receive a structured, machine-readable copy of your account data in a commonly used format suitable for transfer to another service provider.
Right to Opt Out
Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by updating your notification preferences in account settings.
Right to Non-Discrimination
Exercise any privacy right without fear of being denied service, charged a higher price, or receiving a lower quality of service as a result of exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a written request to privacy@hwebview.com. We will verify your identity before processing the request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (no later than 45 days for CCPA requests, 30 days for GDPR requests, with one extension permitted where necessary).

7 Children's Privacy

hwebview.com is intended exclusively for use by individuals who are 13 years of age or older. Our platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit, collect, or maintain personal information from any person under 13 years of age. This policy reflects our compliance obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our systems. Users in the EEA who are under 16 (or a lower age set by their member state) similarly require parental consent before creating an account.

8 Security Measures

We implement a multi-layered security architecture designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our current technical and organizational measures include:

  • Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 or higher) for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive data stored at rest, including payment-adjacent records and authentication credentials
  • Bcrypt hashing with per-user salts for all account passwords — we never store plaintext passwords
  • Role-based access controls limiting internal data access to personnel with a documented operational need
  • Periodic third-party penetration testing and automated vulnerability scanning of our infrastructure
  • Intrusion detection systems and anomaly-based monitoring with 24/7 alerting
  • Physical security controls at our data center facilities, operated by enterprise cloud providers

Despite these measures, no security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities within the timeframes mandated by law and provide guidance on protective actions you can take.

9 Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When material changes are made — changes that meaningfully alter your rights or our data practices — we will provide advance notice by posting a prominent announcement on the platform and sending an email notification to registered users at least 14 days prior to the effective date of the revised policy.

Non-material updates (such as corrections of typographical errors, clarification of existing practices, or editorial reformatting) may be made without prior notice, but will always be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of hwebview.com after the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
